About The
Band
From the most rotten gutters of Hollywood, where even rats don't dare crawl, comes a band. A band that is slowly redefining what metal is actually about. Blending and fusing aspects of speed, thrash, progressive and technical metal, this quartet is out on a spree, and they're not stopping anytime soon.
Rattlehead, the brainchild of front man Nick Baranov, was started in the summer of 2003, when he got together with some local musicians, by the names of Philip Litvin, Stan Vasilyev, and Simon Tijiboy. As the band progressed and pushed forth, none of the other members showcased a hunger, a drive, big enough to make it in today's competitive music business. Thus, several lineup changes took effect, with each member change strengthening the band even more. 2008 shows a prominent future for the band, featuring Nick Baranov on vocals and rhythm guitars, Francis Ausley on lead guitars, Shadow on bass guitar and backing vocals, and AJ Stixxx on drums and percussion.
Since its spawning, Rattlehead has played over a hundred shows, with the first being November 13th, 2003 at a Strip Club Metal Bar "Club Vodka" in front of a full audience. To this day, the band has not stopped gigging extensively, most notably headlining their home venue - The Whisky a Go-Go every several months for sold out audiences.
The band will soon be releasing their second independent release, entitled “Step Inside for the Slaughter”, which will be available locally in Los Angeles, CA, nationwide online, and through distributors in Japan, Germany, and other countries around the globe.
Proven by their efforts and dedication, and with the help of thousands of fans all around the world, Rattlehead is sure to make a dent in the history of music very soon...
